Originally from London, Sylvana moved to Los Angeles in her early-twenties and began a successful career in the fashion industry.

Sylvana has always had a passion for art, initially focusing on Landscape and master studies, and from there, set her sights on honing her craft towards figurative subjects. She loves the luxury of a live model, painting from life, whenever possible, but also works from photographs. She encompasses the backdrop of Los Angeles as constant inspiration for her work, capturing iconic elements of the City.

Sylvana is honored when she receives commissions, and finds great satisfaction in capturing the essence and likeness of her subjects.

Current Inspiration includes painting Nocturne scenes, incorporating the capture of ‘Bokeh’; blurred points of neon lights at night, combining with figurative elements, to create mood and atmospheric effects.

Having got her first ever dog, Jasper, during Covid, she has developed a newfound passion of painting dogs of all breeds. This has developed into a series of commissioned pet portraits.
